Unexpected Visit to the Jewish Contemporary Museum

Stumbled into the Jewish Contemporary Museum after having lunch across the way at Tropisueno the other day. It was Admission free first Tuesday and we couldn't pass up the opportunity to visit a museum for free. Little did I know I was in for quite the treat. After having a little fun with my daughter playing with magnets and my girlfriend hosting an impromptu puppet show for my daughter at the Zim Zoom Family Room, we headed for, wait for it, the Jews and Midcentury Modernism exhibit! Lo and behold, the design goodness of the 50's. George Nelson, Muriel Coleman, Saul Bass and Paul Rand are a few of the designers represented in the exhibit. This was quite a treat for my family as we were in the city for other reasons completely unrelated to Museum family fun time.

Jews and Midcentury Modernism runs through October 6, 2014.
