From the Giant Robot Exhibit |
At the Vinyl Exhibit |

Just visited the Oakland Museum of California over Memorial Day weekend and I have to say I was thoroughly impressed and definitely had a good time. First the museum wasn't busy and overcrowded (went on a Saturday). Second, the current exhibitions Vinyl: the Sound and Culture of Records, Super Awesome: Art and Giant Robot and the Sunshine and Superheroes the San Diego Comic-Con were on hit. All three exhibits were interactive or partly interactive, you could play records and test your turntabalist skills in scratching, wear a Superman costume or play old school Nintendo videos games from within a custom gaming car. Sounds dope right?
The general admission is $15, so it's easy on the pockets and definitely worth the money! I have to admit OMCA is one of my favorite museums in the Bay Area.
Both the Vinyl and Giant Robot exhibitions run through July 27th, the Comic-Con exhibit lasts until May 31st.
