Adult Swim "Bumps"

For those of you that have been up late and flipped through the channels and stumbled upon the Adult Swim block on Cartoon Network or if you are already an avid watcher of the programming then you may have already noticed the Adult Swim “Bumps” that are played during the commercial breaks. Many of these “bumps” have a surreal theme to them while others are comedic, mostly dark humor. Some of my favorite bumps are the still pictures with music playing, usually some kind of ambient electronic music or soulful house music or jazzy hip-hop. Whichever the case, I really do enjoy these bumps. I feel that they’re little works of art in itself, kind of like music video vignettes, brief moments to be appreciated in every sense; audible, visual and emotional. Maybe I’m hyping these “bumps” up a little too much but I’m not going to lie, I could watch just a whole set of “bumps” instead of the actual shows.
